In a vision John is carried in the Spirit to heaven, where he sees God sitting on the throne. The scene is awesome and beautiful, attended by lightning and thunder. Twenty-four elders are around the throne, and the seven Spirits of God, as lamps, are before it. In the center, around the throne are four living creatures who never stop singing, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come." Each time they praise God, the 24 elders cast their crowns before Him, saying He is worthy of the glory because He created all things, and by His will they have their being.
For me, this is quite a bit beyond my comprehension. How about you?
