TOPICS for CHAPTER 22:
We, now, are given a look at the victorious believer's new Jerusalem. A water of life flows from the throne of God and Jesus. The tree of life straddles the water of life. The leaves from the tree sustain the NATIONS in the new heaven.
The new heaven is continually lit by the Light coming from the Throne.
After living in a Satin-infested world, the redeemed inhabitants of the the New Heaven must be relieved that EVERYTHING has been RESTORED. I believe that our memory of a sinful Earth also may have been cleansed.
John is so overwhelmed by what the Angel is telling him, and the angel tells him in so many words that he, John, belongs in the New Heaven.
"Let the one who does right, continue to do right." Currently, on this earth we TRY to do this; in heaven, it will come naturally for us to do.
"Look, I am coming soon!" Jesus says to John. Jesus confirms that the Revelation is the whole truth. He confirms the authenticity of the Revelation.
"I AM COMING SOON" expresses the urgency with which we, who are waiting for this event, must place on this Revelation's requirements (Revelation 21:6-8). It is this author's prayer that you will be joining me in this New Jerusalem's forever celebration!
