TOPICS for CHAPTER 20:
The thousnad year (Millenium) stretches between the two last battles of the world: Armageddon (19:11-21), and Gog and Magog (20:7-10).
The millenium Reign of Christ is marked by happiness and glory: Christian martyrs come to life in the "first resurrection" and they join the rest of God's people whom Christ by His blood brought into the kingdom.
This group of people will reign with Christ for 1,000 years while Satan is bound in the Abyss.
When the 1,000 years are over, Satan, the Devil, is released from "prison" and goes out to deceive millions of people all over the world. These deceived people are gathered to "the beloved city" (Jerusalem) to fight against Christ and His army.
Sadly, the gathered deceived people are devoured by fire coming down from heaven.
Satan is thrown into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone for his eternal torment.
Every person who didn't believe that Jesus Christ had/has made a way to enter heaven, will be given their chance before the Great White Throne to explain. What they probably didn't realize EVERYTHING in their life has been recorded in Books.
These books are opened which show what they did with their lives (by the way, nothing of their life is left out).
Another Book is opened, The Book of Life. It identifies persons who entirely accepted Jesus Christ. If their name is NOT in the Book of Life, that person is thrown into the lake of fire.
The critical question therefore becomes, "What decisions have you made to ensure your name is in the Book of Life"?
