TOPICS for CHAPTER 18:

• Lament over fallen Babylon V:1-3

  "FALLEN, FALLEN, IS BABYLON THE GREAT!"

  The empire that the Devil, the Sea Beast, and the Earth Beast thought would propell them into victory is completely in ruins.

  This is a spiritual ruin. It is totally evil-based, tied to DEATH, and now totally destroyed.

• Warning to escape Babylon's Judgment V:4-8

  There is a very direct warning, "Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins. Her sins are piled up to heaven, and the strong Lord who judges her will burn her with fire."

  The only FIRE that remains is the one identified in Revelation 21:8. THIS FIRE IS PERMANENT, FOREVER and FOREVER!

• Threefold WOE Over Babylon's Fall V:9-20

  WOE, WOE, WOE in one hour your judgment has come.

• The Finality of Babylon's Doom V:21-24

  Merchants of the earth weep and mourn over Babylon's fall, because no one buys their cargoes anymore, which is the source of their riches. These cargoes are luxurious things which people must do without. The sea trade comes to an abrupt halt. Ships and crews are idled.

  John hears a voice telling the occupants of heaven, saints, apostles, and prophets to REJOICE over Babylon's destruction, because God has judged her (Babylon) for the way she treated them.

  The personal question is whether you will be within Babylon or with the "occupants of heaven"?
