TOPICS for CHAPTER 13:
John sees a hideous beast coming out of the sea, followed by all unbelieving earth dwellers. They are worshiping the Sea Beast and the dragon who gave his authority to the Sea Beast.
When the FATAL wound of one of its heads is healed, the whole world of unbelievers follows and worships him and the dragon. He blasphemes God and the dwellers of heaven. He makes war with the saints on the earth.
The saints are conquered. In perseverence and faith, the saints remain LOYAL to God, and do not worship the beast as others are doing.
John sees the companion of the Sea Beast, the Earth Beast. Both beasts "come up" from their habitats and perform works in accordance to the authority they are permit to use.
When the final BOWLS judgments fall, their purpose will already been revealed: retribution for (1) following and worshipping Satan and his hosts (beasts), and for (2) blaspheming and rejecting God and the Lamb.
In the end, Jesus Christ , the Lamb, must be the enthroned VICTOR!
