TOPICS for CHAPTER 11:

• The Two Witnesses, V:1-14

  Daniel 9:27 prophesies one week of tribulation, divided into two parts of 3 1/2 days each. (Daniel 7:25 and Daniel 12:7). The same division exists here but the periods are 3 1/2 years instead of 3 1/2 days.

  During this first period, John is told to measure God's temple, its altar, and those who worship in it.

• The Seventh Trumpet, V:15-19

  This Seventh Trumpet with its songs of praise to God sets the stage for the judgments to come.

  John will see the following judgments (not necessarily in chronological order) happening because the 7th trumpet has been sounded:

  • 7th Trumpet (11:15)
  • Woman and Dragon, chapter 12
  • Sea and Earth Beasts, chapter 13
  • Lamb and Mt. Zion, chapter 14
  • Songs of Moses and the Lamb, chapter 15
  • 7 BOWLS ("It is done.", chapter 16 (v. 17)
