• 144,000 Sealed, V:1-8

  John sees four angels ready to harm the earth, sea, and trees.

  But before this happens, 144,000 Israelites are sealed from that harm. They are identified as bond-servants of God (see Revelation 1:1).

• The Great Multitude in White Robes, V:9-17

  After the 144,000 Israelites are sealed, John hears two songs of praise:

  1. First song sung to God and the Lamb, sung by a great multitude of saints from every nation and tribe. One of the 24 elders identifies the saints as those who come out of the great tribulation, saved by the blood of the Lamb, and serving God continually.
  2. Second song is to God alone. It is sung by all the worshipping angels.
