TOPICS for CHAPTER 6:
This is the beginning of the portion of Revelation which foretells the world's darkest years. The judgments upon mankind keep intensifying from this chapter onward through chapter 20.
Christ the Lamb breaks each of the four seals, and each judgment begins when one of the living creatures says, "COME."
Upon hearing the "COME", a rider upon a colored horse rides out with a specific judgment upon the earth. This all happens within the first eight verses of this chapter.
When Christ the Lamb breaks the fifth seal, John sees under heaven's altar the souls of martyrs killed because of their Christion testimony. They want God to avenge their blood quickly, but they are told to wait a little longer until other martyrs join their number.
The breaking of the sixth SEAL brings all kinds of cataclysms. This is so terrible that people upon the earth hide in caves or manmade tunnels. They do NOT want God and the LAMB to execute any more WRATH upon them (worldwide).
