^2:19 I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first.

'I KNOW

God knows everything that we know (and do). If sound doctrine and worship is what we know, then the good works will follow.

1. your DEEDS and
2. your LOVE and
3. FAITH and
4. SERVICE and
5. PERSEVERANCE,

Note the 'cross linkages': "LOVE" manifests itself in "SERVICE"; likewise "FAITH" motivates our "PERSEVERANCE".

and that you are now doing more than you did at first.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER should we be so busy with "DOING" that we forget to worship Him. Worshiping is the true act of reverence and respect toward God. A person only has to look at Mary and Martha in Luke 10:38-42. Martha was busy in the kitchen with preparations, while Mary sat at His feet (worshiping).

How do we truly worship God? John 4:19-24 says:

1. in spirit and
2. in truth.

The church at Thyatira was so BUSY doing "other things" that Jezebel had an easy time subverting them doctrinely. Think about it!!!
