GLORY

New Jerusalem

John's vision of New Jerusalem began when one of the seven BOWLS angels carried him to view the city from a high mountain. John recalls the sight: The city shines with the glory of God. Its high walls has twelve gates with names of the twelve tribes of Isreal. The names of the twelve apostles are on its twelve foundations. The angel measures the city's length, width and height: all are 1500 miles. And such beauty! The city is pure gold; the twelve foundations are adorned with precious stones; and the twelve gates are twelve pearls.
