The church in Thyratira shows by its deeds that it has a heart of love, faith, and service, but it tolerates the false teachings of Jezebel about eating food sacrificed to idols and committing acts of immorality. The unrepentant followers will die of pestilence. Those who reject the teachings must hold fast until Jesus returns, and then as overcomers they will be given authority over their oppressors. Jesus will also give them the morning star.
