TOPICS for CHAPTER 7:

• An Interlude v. 1-3

  Four winds of the earth and of the sea are held back by four angels. They are forbidden to harm the earth until "God's Servants" are sealed on their foreheads.

• The 144,000 v. 4-8

  These are "servants" sealed from 12 tribes of Israel. Specifically, there are 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes.

• A Multitude from the Tribulation v. 9-17

  After the 144,000 Israelites are sealed, John hears two songs of praise:

  1. First song sung to God and the Lamb, sung by a great multitude of saints from every nation and tribe. One of the 24 elders identifies the saints as those who come out of the great tribulation, saved by the blood of the Lamb, and serving God continually.
  2. Second song is to God alone. It is sung by all the worshipping angels.

  One of the twenty-four elders identifies the saints as those who come out of the GREAT TRIBULATION, saved by the blood of the LAMB, and serving God continually.
